Students have been busy preparing for an incredible task. Given the design criteria listed below, students must build a chair with only cardboard and masking tape. This week students will be building their cardboard chairs. They have researched chair designs and have drawn their technical plans for their chairs. Each group will complete their chair by Thursday, October 12. When we return to school on Tuesday, October 17, we will test the chairs. Each chair must hold the weight of an adult. Look for pictures of our chairs in the near future.

Design Criteria: You must build a chair with only cardboard and masking tape. The seat of the chair must be between 15” and 18” from the floor and the back of the chair must be between 27” and 32” from the floor. The chair must hold the weight of an adult.
